This Triskele Pendant has simplified bird heads in spiral design.  The Artifact that this design comes from dates to ~ 200 BC in Germany.  It decorated the top of a brass sword scabbard.  Likely the heads represented Eagles or Ravens.   Ravens and other Corvade mate for life and often can be seen bringing up their single offspring until it reaches maturity.  Eagles where seen as royal symbols of nations because of they were the largest birds of prey, and for their range.

The dimensions are ~ 2.5cm in Diameter and I make 1.2cm matching earrings as well.

Pictured at right is a photo of the artifact itself.  The sword that the scabbard held would likely have been made of Iron.  It is dated to the period of 200 BCE and would have been the early stage of Europe's Iron Age.
