Lions
Heads, crests, rampant lion, and passant regardant from Scotland, Ireland, and across Europe.
The Lion Rampant is a Royal emblem of bravery, protection and strength. Originating in Africa, it is the king of the jungle, symbol of the chief. The ‘rampant’ pose of the lion is the strongest stance or attitude, with its two front arms striking and bottom legs clawing.
Lions have emblazoned many family crests and national flags since the middle ages. The Leon/Lion symbol was not seen in Europe before pilgrimages to the Middle East.
We like to utilize lion symbols from actual crests in our designs. We’re constantly making custom designs and can help make your own design too.
