This Brojo Lizards/Salamanders design is inspired by the the lizards used by the Shaman Don Juan Matus. One acts as the eyes the other acts as the ears. With both, they can tell you the future and the past. We are always in the present and must use our senses for direction.
In an abstract sense, they are also a spiral design that is connected by the center representing the never ending motion of life itself.
